Dear Oakridge Family,
On behalf of our Board of Regents and School Leadership Team, we are excited to announce the launch of our Strategic Planning process. Strategic planning is a crucial practice that independent schools like ours undertake every three to five years. The plan helps us clarify our shared mission as a community and defines the steps we need to take to ensure alignment with our mission.
The strategic planning process involves engaging with parents, students, faculty, staff, alums, and the Board to develop an understanding of our school community today and to design a roadmap for a bright future. As we continue to prioritize the delivery of exceptional educational opportunities at the heart of our mission, we must build on our community traditions, plan for a sustainable future, and envision the possibilities for our school.
To assist us with this vital work, we are collaborating with Mission & Data, a consulting firm that specializes in this field. They will engage in research and collect input from teams within our community to help us develop our strategic vision for the future. In fact, some of that work is already in motion thanks to our Strategic Planning Task Force. The Task Force includes members from our leadership team, teaching faculty, and Board members. Ultimately, Mission & Data will guide us in using data to inform our plan, implement our vision, and track progress.
Over the next several months, we will be sending out survey opportunities and asking for volunteers to participate in focus groups. We hope you will join us in these efforts and help our school develop a strategic plan that will not only celebrate our mission and who we are, but also plan for our school's future.
Today, we invite you to share your voice through our first survey. Your input is important and will help guide our work in the months ahead. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey here: Oakridge Survey
Please contact us directly if you have any questions about the strategic plan or how you can participate in the discussions.
Warmly,
Matt Burgy
Head of School
