Dear Lower School Parents, 

We are excited to welcome all of our families back to campus tomorrow for the Back to School Bash. Please arrive between 9:00 and 9:15 to meet your child’s teacher. After 9:45 we will all be in the Quad and the SAC enjoying music, food, and fun. Be on the lookout for new families who might need a hand.

On Wednesday, teachers sent a Meet the Teacher welcome email to each family in Lower School. If you did not receive this email, please contact Mrs. Butts, LS Administrative Assistant. We want to be sure you know where to go when you arrive at the Back-to-School Bash tomorrow morning.

On the first day of school, you are welcome to park and walk your child in or you may use the carpool line behind the Lower School building. Remember, school hours are from 7:50-2:50. Children may be dropped off in carpool beginning at 7:30. In the afternoon, first and fourth graders are picked up in the back (the same as the morning carpool). Second and third graders are picked up in the front of the school near the flagpoles. If you have students in both areas, the older students go with the younger students for afternoon carpool.

For important text messages from the school, please join your child’s Remind group.

Hopefully, Thursday, August 21, is already on your calendar for Lower School Parent Night from 6:30 - 8 p.m. It is ideal to have only parents attend. Enjoy your last couple days of summer!

Please note that the updated 2025-2026 Family Handbook is now available. The handbook provides information about topics such as dress code, code of conduct, our school's guidelines for responsible use of technology, as well as division specific content. A digital version of the handbook can be found on the Oakridge Parent Portal.
